Christine started her first Training Company in 1996 but has spent 30 years in learning & development; she started her second business in 2001 which, with a community agenda, exists to encourage, help and motivate entrepreneurs, particularly women, into business. The last 20 years she has been working in Europe with partners from Spain, Italy, Germany, Turkey, France, Netherlands, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, to name but a few.

She has completed projects on leadership, business development, empowerment & innovation for women, disability rights, civil society, health, training & education, active citizenship. She is also interested in knowledge exchange.

Developed the strategy for a 5-year project “Harnessing Knowledge to Sustain Competitiveness”. Confederation of British Industry, Department of Trade & Industry, Engineering Employers Federation, Unipart Learning Systems, Pertemps Group, Co-operative Bank, et al.

Advised the Sikh community of Sandwell and Birmingham on various projects concerned with social inclusion and the development of a strategy to tackle issues such as Health, Training & Education, self empowerment, and related social issues. Developed a Business Plan and Feasibility Study for a Sikh Nursery, Creche & After School Club. Organised successful conferences on Leadership in the Community, Leadership in Social Relationships and a Collective Exploration Day on issues of Health Training & Education for the Ethnic Minority Groups in Sandwell and Birmingham

Carried out a Conference for 3 major police forces, fire, rescue and associated services on A Joined Up Approach to Emergency Services which fed directly to the person responsible to the Government for the Region’s response to an emergency strategy (West Midlands Resilience Group).

Most challenging - diagnosis and achievement of Investors in People standards for an old-style Cathedral (450 people – including voluntary staff) strategically planning the maximising of their potential skills to develop the culture/heritage/tourist aspects of the Cathedral and its surrounding conurbation.

Delivered a 5-year strategy for the 4th largest Diocese in the United Kingdom incorporating all levels of management development from Bishops to Parishes Priests – managers through to administrators

Worked with Archbishop of Canterbury’s Appointment Secretary on profiling leadership in the Church of England, the Police, Banking, Shipping etc Developed and supported a 2-day Leadership Consultative Event at Windsor Castle – February 2001 to present

Nursing home sector: diagnosis and strategy to meet the needs of their own management development, the Annual Registration Inspection to which they are now subject and the development of individual skills for Care Assistants – leading to quality care for all residents.

Involved with the development of a “toolkit” (funded by the British Council and the World Bank) for national training programmes for S. America – capable of onward transmission to developing countries based on ten years experience of curriculum development and management of training programmes and outcome related skill development.

Part of British Council bid for South Africa to develop National Skills Authority and Training Boards. Minster Development Centre (solely owned by Christine) has also been part of the British Council bid for Egypt to encompass curriculum development for all skill areas.
